Jompalang Noodle
Don't let the picture fool you, this bowl of noodles feeds at least 2 people, big eaters included! Known as strong man noodle, these bowls sell for THB160 for the smallest servings.
In each serving, there are noodles, wan-ton skins, ramen-eggs, dumplings, vegetables, a giant fish-ball, shrimps and also a some crab-pork mix housed in a crab helmet.
Soups are self-served and watching them prepare each bowl is like an art. That said, eating one bowl alone is also an art.
Do note that upon payment, you will be asked for your name and they will announce your name when your bowl is ready. Just raise your hand to acknowledge and some one will deliver this mega treat to the table.
Located only at night markets, such as Talaad Rot Fai (Ratchada), you may have to queue as tables are limited.
